WHO LOOKED HOT AT THE VMAS 2011?

The awards show brought out the stars and the FASHION! But who looked best on the red carpet?
Check out Demi, who showed up in a very sexy low-cut silver dress. Of course all her accessories matched!
Selena went for a classy black dress and played it up with some fun gold shoes and a bag to match.
Miley went for a not so classy animal print number and accessorized with a bunch of rings!
Katy Perry looked, well, very Katy Perry: short bright dress, gold shoes, Asian umbrella...
JoJo went with black, because you can never go wrong with black. But what about those 'bubbles' above the dress?
Rebecca Black was also there. She wore shorts in black and a white shirt with a transparent shirt over it. Her jacket matched her shorts.
Britney, the night's special guest, wore a splarkly black number with large buttons.
Beyoncé wore an amazing orange dress that hid her baby bump.
Finally, Victoria Justice, went with a cute silver dress a lot like Demi's.

JAY-Z and BEYONCE's FIRST CHILD

It’s official: Beyonce is expecting her first child!
Beyonce made the announcement by showing off her tiny baby bump when she hit the carpet at the 2011 MTV VMAs on Sunday August 28 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.Happy
She looked beautiful when she shared the news with everyone. She was wearing a bright orange Lanvin gown, also told photographers, “I have a surprise for you!” before holding her belly.
She and her husband are very happy to have their first baby and we wish them all the best. Beyonce and Jay-Z tied the knot in April 2008.

Eminem Makes Bonnaroo Debut

Eminem
Following performances from Lil Wayne, Big Boi, and Wiz Khalifa, Eminem capped off a hip-hop-heavy lineup at Bonnaroo with his debut appearance at the festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Invading the What Stage to the tune of “Won’t Back Down,” Slim Shady ran through old and new material, dressed casually in camouflage shorts, a Bad Meets Evil tee, hoodie, and black hat.

“It’s been a minute since I been to the South. Did y’all miss us or what?” Em asked sweaty festival-goers before performing his Lil Wayne-assisted single “No Love” off last year’s Recovery. “When I say Wayne, ya’ll say Weezy!” he chanted, but the Young Money captain, who played hours earlier, did not appear.
He did, however, trade verses with fellow Detroit MC Royce Da 5’9” during a Bad Meets Evil set that included their Bruno Mars-assisted song “Lighters” as lighters and cell phones ignited the night sky, finishing with an encore of “Lose Yourself.”

Lady Gaga Gives Details On The “Judas” Video

Before her gig in Montreal on Monday, Lady Gaga spoke briefly to MSN about Born This Way, and the interview is pretty standard of what we expect to hear from Gaga nowadays — lots of talk about art and the love of her fans — but what’s most noteworthy are the details she gives regarding her forthcoming music video for “Judas”, in which she’ll play Mary Magdalene meets Hell’s Angels… or something like that. Read on below.
In their phone conversation, the former Catholic school girl discussed her upcoming video, which was co-directed by Gaga with Canadian choreographer Laurieann Gibson and will premiere on American Idol next week:
How will [the pop culture as religion] metaphor play out in the music video?
Well the video, in essence, suggests that [pauses] forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand and that… how do I say this? The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.

What’s the concept?
Well, I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem. And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.

You talked about “Judas” being about forgiveness. Can you forgive the person who leaked it a week early?
Yeah! You know, I don’t care. It’s OK. At the end of the day the song was finished and it was ready to go so it’s always difficult on the promotional end because we have to hurry up and get everything ready to go but we were prepared. I’d already shot the video and it went exactly as I’d wanted it to and it looks really beautiful and I’m just excited the fans got to hear the music. I don’t obsess about things like that.
Motorcycles, eh? Guess the Born This Way cover art makes a bit more sense now.

The Albums That Hit #1 This Year

Albums 2010When it came to the chart-topping albums of 2010, there were comebacks, stunning debuts and records that would eventually go on to become Grammy nominees. There was also redemption, twice as much Susan Boyle and, overall, a whole lot of Glee.  Head below to see our breakdown of the LPs you put at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart during the first year of the new decade.

Susan Boyle
MOST WEEKS AT #1: Both Eminem and Susan Boyle spent seven weeks at #1 on the Top 200 in 2010, but only Em did so with the same album (Recovery). SuBo, however, has the distinction of having book-ended the year—I Dreamed A Dream was the first #1 album of 2010, while The Gift topped the final chart (calendar date December 25).
BEST-SELLING ALBUM: Eminem’s Recovery sold 3.2 million copies in 2010. According to Billboard, Em’s LP was followed by Need You Now, from fellow Album Of The Year Grammy nominees Lady Antebellum (3 million), and Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (2.6 million).
DEBUT ALBUMS VS. SOPHOMORE ALBUMS: When we rounded up the top albums halfway through the year, four artists (Susan Boyle, Ke$ha, B.o.B and Drake) had reached the #1 position with their debut LPs. But while no other acts managed to pull off the same feat after that, three sophomore albums reached the top of the chart in 2010: Vampire Weekend’s Contra, Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now and Susan Boyle’s The Gift. We’ll leave it up to you to decide where Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 falls (technically, his first My World, which was released in 2009, is an EP).
COUNTRY STRONG: With their Grammy-nominated album Need You Now, Lady Antebellum led the way in a year that saw a total of six country artists—including Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Sugarland and Taylor Swift—top the chart.
DIGITAL LOVE: The Hope For Haiti Now charity compilation became the first digital-exclusive album to reach #1 on the Billboard Top 200 (there was no physical CD available).
FOLLOW-UPS: Of all the artists who reached #1 in 2010, five of them offered follow-up releases to their chart-topping albums by December: Susan Boyle’s sophomore LP The Gift was in the hands of holiday shoppers 10 months after I Dreamed A Dream spent its final week on top of the chart; Usher rolled out Versus a mere five months after Raymond v. Raymond; Justin Bieber stripped things down (minds out of the gutter, ladies) with My Worlds Acoustic, which breezed in on the heels of My World 2.0; Ke$ha unleashed Animal, the first 2010 release to hit #1, then added mini album Cannibal to her catalog in November; the cast of Glee had three #1s on the Top 200 in 2010.
TOP ALBUMS WITH TOP SINGLES: Five chart-topping albums contained singles that likewise landed on top of the Hot 100 chart: Ke$ha’s Animal (”Tik Tok”), Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond (”OMG”), B.o.B’s The Adventures Of Bobby Ray (”Nothin’ On You”), Eminem’s Recovery (”Not Afraid”, “Love The Way You Lie”) and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream (”California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream”, “Firework”).

The 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards Are Handed Out

Back in September MTV threw its biggest party of the year here in SoCal at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Last night, MTV threw its second biggest party of the year in Madrid, Spain at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. Here are a few photos of some of the celebs who walked the red carpet at La Caja Magica in Madrid last night:

Don’t you just LOVE how Miley Cyrus had to raid Colonel Sanders‘s closet to find something to wear to the EMAs last night? The Best Hip Hop award went to Eminem, Best Pop went to Lady Gaga, Best Rock went to 30 Seconds to Mars and Best Live Act went to Linkin Park. After the jump, check out some photos and a video performance from the big show itself …

Here is video of the 30 Seconds to Mars performance of Hurricane with special guest Kanye West:

There’s never a dull moment when Kanye is involved. One of my fave things about the MTV EMAs is that they are held in a different European city each year. This year’s party was hosted by the beautiful country of Spain in their capital city of Madrid. It looks like it was a pretty fun affair … congratulations to all the winners.
